Community Activities Program
Participate in our annual Community Activities Program. We are committed to reducing rural social isolation and, as such, proudly offer a variety of inclusive, free and low-cost activities and events for our residents throughout the year. All activities and events are held at the beautiful Steelhead Community Hall and grounds. From engaging activities to fun family gatherings, educational workshops and volunteerism, there's something for everyone!

Tiny Tots Open Playtime
Mums, Dads, Grandparents & Caregivers! Bring your littles every Thursday morning to our FREE Tiny Tots Open Playtime classes, designed for Mission residents with children aged 0-5 years old.
It's a perfect opportunity for your little ones to explore and play in a safe environment. A small snack and drinking box will be provided for each child to help keep those energy levels up.
Come connect and join the high spirits and fun!

Yoga Classes

Join us most Tuesdays and Thursdays for Hatha Yoga sessions, exclusively for Mission residents. Bring your yoga mat and towel and immerse yourself in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere designed to rejuvenate your mind and body.
We look forward to seeing you there! Cash and e-transfers both accepted at drop-in.

Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch

It's a Hoppy Easter celebration! This annual Easter Egg Hunt & Brunch gives rural kids, residents and neighbours a wonderful way to come together and enjoy family-friendly activities, a delicious brunch (by donation), and the joy of community spirit. Come join the celebration!

Summer BBQ
Join us for a fantastic, outdoor Summer BBQ where new and old neighbours come together for a great time! Lots of games and entertainment for everyone. Enjoy delicious food, great company, and the chance to build and renew friendships and community connections. Lasting memories are made, and people can participate as much or little as they want!

Community FireSmart™ Education & Emergency Planning and Evacuation
The Steelhead Community Association is dedicated to keeping our community informed about safety. We host annual educational presentations to keep our residents informed. We believe in the power of knowledge to ensure everyone has access to important community information. All events are free or low-cost. Join in, stay engaged, and learn more about topics that matter to you!

Halloween Party
The Kids Annual Halloween Party is a spooky good time! Kids dress up in their favorite costumes and especially love visiting with the slithery, creepy-crawlies presented by “The Reptile Guy”! Pumpkin carving contest. Everyone enjoys a yummy lunch. (An Adults-only party is typically held later in the evening.)

Breakfast with Santa and The Grinch
Christmas in Steelhead is a festive, fun, celebration. Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast! Cherished moments with Mr. & Mrs. Claus and The Grinch are captured during our FREE photo sessions. Kids will have a blast engaging in various fun and festive activities. A great opportunity to make lasting memories and create friendships!

Friendly Fridays
The Steelhead Community is your go-to spot for free and low-cost fun! Family-friendly Games, Paint and Movie nights, and Adult-only Friendly Fridays bring folks together. Come and experience a relaxing, neighborly atmosphere while enjoying bingo, arts and crafts, entertaining movie nights, and socializing with neighbours, friends, and family!

Community Volunteerism
We need you! Join us today and help make a difference – and thank you to all our amazing volunteers, past and present, you truly rock! The Steelhead Community Association welcomes new volunteers. The Community Hall was built through the dedication, hard work and fundraising efforts of the Steelhead Community Association and local volunteers. The Hall, which took 10 years to build, stands as a testament to rural folks’ tenacity and community spirit! Volunteers still proudly maintain our Hall and keep our space vibrant and activities and events welcoming.
